Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Fridgy mobile application (the "App") and any related services. The App is operated by Paradigm Partners LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of Illinois ("Fridgy," "we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Fridgy. By using the App you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Fridgy only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
2. Your account
You may use Fridgy without creating an account. If you create an account (via Sign in with Apple), you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and the activity that occurs on your account. Notify us promptly at hello@tryfridgy.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Free trial
Fridgy offers a 2-week free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to begin the trial. At the end of the trial, scanning and meal-planning features will be disabled until you subscribe.
Paid subscription
If you subscribe, payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing your subscription
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time by going to your iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Fridgy. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — there are no partial refunds for unused time.
Refunds
All subscription purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not directly process refunds.
4. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use Fridgy for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data from Fridgy at scale
- Use Fridgy in a way that interferes with our servers or networks
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or any of its content
- Upload images that contain illegal content, depict real people without their consent, or violate any third-party rights
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation
5. Content you submit
You retain ownership of the photos and content you submit to Fridgy. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and analyze that content solely for the purpose of providing the Fridgy service to you. We will not use your photos for marketing, sell them, or share them with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. No medical or nutrition advice
Fridgy is for informational and entertainment purposes only. Fridge scores, meal suggestions, and any nutrition-related content are not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider or registered dietitian before making changes to your diet, especially if you have health conditions, food allergies, or specific nutritional needs.
Fridgy is not designed for and should not be used by people with eating disorders or anyone for whom calorie tracking, food scoring, or restrictive eating advice could be harmful.
7. AI-generated content disclaimer
Fridgy uses artificial intelligence to analyze fridge photos and generate scores, commentary, recipes, and suggestions. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, misidentify foods, generate inappropriate recipes for your dietary needs, or produce commentary that is unintentionally off-target. You are responsible for verifying any suggestions before acting on them, especially with regard to allergies, dietary restrictions, food safety, and expiration dates.
8. Third-party services
Fridgy integrates with third-party services including Anthropic (AI), Spoonacular (recipes), Supabase (data hosting), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple (authentication, payments). Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
9. Intellectual property
The Fridgy name, logo, and the App's design, code, and content (other than user-submitted content) are owned by Paradigm Partners LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Fridgy at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Fridgy and delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
Fridgy is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paradigm Partners LLC and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Fridgy. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) US $50, or (b) the amount you paid us for Fridgy in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paradigm Partners LLC from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Fridgy shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Chicago, Illinois, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in class actions.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App and by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Fridgy after the changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
